Chiefs, McDuffie

Now, while the Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the more fortunate teams in the league to not have as many injuries, they have been without some key players.

One of the biggest has been 2022 first-round draft pick cornerback Trent McDuffie. He has been on the injury reserve list and could see the field on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, which would already be a huge boost, considering who the Chiefs have been trotting out there at the cornerback spot.

"As long as he feels good this week, we'll give him a chance to play," head coach Andy Reid said Monday.

Seventh-rounder Jaylen Watson, the rookie who picked off Justin Herbert for 99-yards, and Joshua Williams, the sixth-round rookie who was matched up with Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis most of the game against Buffalo, have been playing a ton of minutes.

They can also get back Willie Gay Jr., the third-year linebacker who has shown flashes of major improvements from last year. That will have the Chiefs trotting out stud linebackers Nick Bolton, Willie Gay, and Darius Harris.

I'm not saying these two will lay good against the 49ers, but there is definitely a possibility of them adding a boost to a Chiefs defense that has played well so far this year.
