The Denver Broncos shook up the NFL world today when they dealt Bradley Chubb to the Miami Dolphins.
Over the last week, rumors swirled about the pass rusher being traded. Finally, that came to fruition this afternoon.
In return, the Broncos got a 2023 first-round pick, a 2024 fourth-round pick, and RB Chase Edmonds. The first rounder is San Francisco's.
Denver has a lot of depth off the edge, so the deal makes sense as they try to dig out of the hole that the Russell Wilson trade put them in.
A young defender for the Broncos had a strong message when he heard of the deal.
You can tell that Chubb was a beloved teammate.
He was a very talented piece of a budding defense.
Jones' comments strongly describe the entire trade deadline day for the NFL. Top players get moved in hopes that their team can turn draft compensation into something bette run the future. It is always a risk.
Chubb played well for the Broncos, especially this season. That being said, they have more young defensive line talent in the building.
The first-round pick going to the Broncos will be wherever the 49ers finish. As of now, it is fair to expect that the pick will be somewhere in the 20s.
Broncos' fans will need to keep an eye on the rest of their season.
