Kansas City Chiefs, Daurice Fountain

The Kansas City Chiefs have an important game Thursday against the Green Bay Packers, as they will play their last preseason game of the season. After this, the Chiefs will start preparing for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.

Against the Packers, the Chiefs will use the opportunity to figure out who deserves the final roster spots available. They will also try and determine who is a candidate for the practice squad and who they'll move on from.

This preseason game is important for these guys, so expect their best. Here are three players on the Chiefs offense that you can expect a big game from.

WR Daurice Fountain

Fountain has had a great preseason so far. Against the Chicago Bears, Fountain caught three balls on three targets for 24 yards. Against the Washington Commanders, Fountain finished with one catch on two targets for 27 yards.

With how he has been performing, he now has a spot on the roster as the sixth receiver. He likely won't get much run in the regular season, so on Thursday, I think we can see him have a huge game.

The Packers defense is good, so look for the Chiefs to spread the ball around, and Fountain to be one of the guys getting it.

TE Jody Fortson

Fortson is on this list for one reason, really. He hasn't had a long camp, or preseason due to the injuries he has been dealing with, so I think he will definitely play on Thursday.

In the limited snaps he played against the Commanders, he was the best receiver on the field. It felt like, anyways. Fortson finished with two touchdowns and four catches on five targets for 19 yards. He is a red zone threat and will be looking to string together a couple of strong performances.

Watch for Fortson with the first team, and even the second team to see how he is used. If the team gets in the red zone, expect him to be good for six points.

WR Justin Watson

We don't usually know exactly who will play, and how much they will play, but it's safe to assume Watson will. And when he does, he will have yet another huge game. All he has done so far this preseason is prove that he belongs on the roster, and he does.

In two preseason games for the Chiefs, Watson has accumulated 98 receiving yards and one touchdown on seven catches and nine targets. He has done all that with limited snaps, mind you. Expect nothing to change against Green Bay and expect Watson to be on the final 53-man roster Tuesday afternoon.
