The New Orleans Saints have their starting quarterback and their backup quarterback. That does not mean that they won't make any moves at the QB throughout this season. Today, they did exactly that. The Saints signed 26-year-old QB Jake Luton to their practice squad.
Luton was with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. He started three games. In those three starts, he had a 54.5% completion percentage, three touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also ran for thirteen yards and a TD.
It was quite the touchdown run for Luton.
For now, Luton will just be an option to be the third QB for the Saints. He provides depth behind two veterans in Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton.
