The Tennessee Vols made 2021 four-star linebacker Jamon Johnson's top 10 on Monday.
Johnson, 6-foot-2/220 lbs from Baltimore, MD, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 12 player in the state of Maryland and the No. 18 outside linebacker in the nation.
247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn describes Johnson as a player who is "physical in the run game" and "reads plays well and reacts quickly". Dohn also notes that Johnson is "comfortable in coverage".
Johnson attends the same high school (St Frances Academy) as 2020 Vols signee Dominic Bailey.
Johnson told Rivals last fall that he would love to play with some of his former teammates in college, which bodes well for Tennessee.
The Vols have also offered Johnson's teammate, 2022 four-star defensive tackle Nasir Pearce.
