The Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for their first game of the year against the Arizona Cardinals which the Chiefs already have a heads up on.

On Wednesday, the Chiefs had no new injuries to report at practice. everyone who wasn't previously on the IR or hurt before this week practiced Wednesday after a day off on Tuesday.

That in itself is an advantage over the Arizona Cardinals as their luck isn't as fortunate.

The Cardinal's injury report for Wednesday's practice was a lot more exciting than the Chiefs.

J.J. Watt, the former defensive player of the year is day-to-day dealing with a calf injury and did not practice on Wednesday. According to 98.7 FM Arizona, defensive end Markus Golden missed the open portion of Wednesday's practice dealing with a toe injury.

That's the Cardinal's two best defensive players on the first level missing practice on Wednesday.

Starting center Rodney Hudson and recently acquired cornerback Treyvon Mullen were also not spotted at practice.

Backup quarterback Colt McCoy was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday due to a calf issue, which forced Trace McSorley to be elevated from the practice squad.

The Chiefs are already one step ahead of the Arizona Cardinals and their Sunday showdown in the desert
