The New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles have made another blockbuster trade. The Saints are trading defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to the Eagles. The return is not yet known.
The deal became apparent once contract talks stalled. Although, it is a bit of an odd move for a Saints team that believes that they can contend in the NFC this season. Gardner-Johnson made them a better defense this year regardless of a future contract.
Clearly, the Saints felt like there was no mending the relationship, though.
