The Denver Broncos have a new quarterback in veteran Russell Wilson. They paid a hefty price for the former Seahawks star QB. One NFL analyst believes that the offense is looking a bit too much like a past Broncos' offense. In the long-term, that didn't work out.

Eisen calls the offense "terrible" so far. He isn't wrong, and most Broncos' fans would probably agree with him.

He also says that Wilson's performance against the 49ers was subpar. The scoring drive to take the lead was the sole bright spot for Wilson and the Broncos.

Eisen compares Wilson's offense to Tim Tebow's Broncos offense of the past.

Those consistently scuffled throughout games with the occasional impressive drive sprinkled in. Their defenses held up to keep them in games long enough to edge out teams late. That doesn't work often enough to be a legitimate contender, though.

Broncos' fans know the Tim Tebow era all too well. There were extremely surprising highs and very disappointing lows. They probably hope that Wilson's career with their team goes a bit differently.

It has only been three games, but the Broncos offense has been about as mediocre as possible. The running game has shown flashes, but the passing offense cannot seem to fully get off the ground.

Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett is already in hot water due to his in-game decisions, and he is largely in control of the offense as a whole.

Considering the struggles of Wilson and company, it makes sense why some are nervous about the future under Hackett.
