NFL.com thinks there are two Kansas City Chiefs players who could be traded before week one of the 2022 season.

They have defensive linemen Khalen Saunders and Taylor Stallworth as two players who could be cut or traded in the next week.

From NFL.com:

The Chiefs are always a team to watch this time of year, given GM Brett Veach's track record of making trades around cutdown time.

This year, Kansas City has a bit more D-line depth than it might have anticipated at one point, especially after the arrivals of Carlos Dunlap and Danny Shelton. Inside, there’s a glut, and it might be tough for both former third-rounder Saunders and summer standout Stallworth to make the initial roster.

Neither would net a ton in return, one might safely assume, although the athletically gifted Saunders could offer a bit more value.

General manager Brett Veach always finds a way to generate value, so it wouldn't shock me if he moves Stallworth or Saunders for a late-round draft pick instead of releasing one (or both) of them.

Either way, it's a good problem for the Chiefs to have. Defensive line depth isn't a strength that Kansas City was expected to have this season. So the fact they're in a position to trade a defensive lineman or two is a massively great sign for the 2022 season.
