Kansas City Chiefs, Mecole Hardman

It's that time of the year again. It is draft season, which is a season in its own, really. We have the opportunity to see hundreds of kids' lives changed forever starting on Thursday. Just four years ago, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman was right there, wondering where he was going to go, when he was going to get drafted.

Luckily, the Chiefs were blessed to have Mecole Hardman fall in their lap. Yes, the conversation will always be that they could of had DK Metcalf. However, I feel as if Mecole Hardman was the right pick. Not many other people feel that way.

Hardman has matured throughout the last few years since becoming a professional. In fact, he has matured so much, that he gave his two cents on what these potential NFL players need to do in the league.

Chiefs Hardman giving advice to players

Recently, as of April 25th, Mecole Hardman joined a Twitter space that the NFL twitter account hosted. He wasn't the only NFL player in the space though. Sony Michel, and Roquan Smith, both former Georgia Bulldogs, were also in the space.

Hardman has had his fair share of trouble adjusting to the league. We saw that on the field. However, his advice would suggest that maybe he struggled a bit off the field, but that is just a guess.

"Take care of your money," Hardman stressed to the NFL Draft prospects.

That is maybe some of the best advice these young men can get. It isn't always about whats on the field, but off the field as well. So, these players never want to put themselves in situations they shouldn't be off the field. One of those potential situations could be going broke, because it has happened before.

Former Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams has spoken on the topic publicly before, saying he went broke, gambling all his money away. It is safe to say Mecole Hardman's two cents are something everyone can take in.
