The 2022 NFL offseason may go down as the wildest and busiest offseason, ever.

From Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams to Khalil Mack to Russell Wilson and so on and so forth – it seems like you can't step away from your phone for five seconds before more news pops off.

And now, the Chiefs are at the center of another blockbuster NFL trade. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Kansas City has granted Tyreek Hill's agent permission to seek a trade for Hill after contract extension talks stalled out last week. Apparently, the Chiefs made Hill an offer that would make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the league, but that's not good enough for the seventh-year receiver.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero followed that up with a report stating multiple NFL teams have already reached out to the Chiefs. And why wouldn't they? Hill is one of the NFL's premier receivers and is still in his prime.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Jets and Dolphins are "in serious talks" when it comes to potentially acquiring Hill. It's logical to assume that Hill will cost at least a first-round pick (if a player is not involved) and the Jets have two top-10 picks. Therefore, they could part ways with a first-rounder and not feel too much of a sting. The Dolphins only have one pick in each of the first three rounds, but they do have two fourth-rounders that could be used in the trade.

It will be pretty shocking if the Chiefs do trade Hill. He's a key cog in the Chiefs offense and there aren't many players that can replicate what he does best. The Chiefs did sign JuJu Smith-Schuster last week, but he wouldn't come close to replacing Hill.

Another component in all of this is the fact that the Chiefs are willing to trade Hill to another AFC team. That usually doesn't happen when it comes to premier players. However, the Chiefs don't play the Dolphins or Jets in 2022, so they'll miss the "reunion" this year, at least.
