Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is living it up with a lavish bachelor weekend in Las Vegas.

TMZ reported that Mahomes and friends dined on a wagyu tomahawk rib chop with his name and Chiefs logo etched on the bone on Thursday night at Carversteak at Resorts World.

Several of Mahomes' teammates joined him at the dinner, including Travis Kelce, Jerick McKinnon, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Orlando Brown Jr.

Two of those players are set to be free agents this offseason: McKinnon and Brown.

We already know that Brown, who is one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL, will be back in Kansas City one way or the other. The Chiefs gave up too much to get Brown in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens before the 2021 season. If Kansas City can't reach a long-term deal with Brown, they'll undoubtedly place the franchise tag on the elite offensive tackle.

When it comes to McKinnon, the Chiefs' plans are less clear. McKinnon will turn 30 in May and Kansas City has Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Would they want to bring back the veteran running back?

I could see it going either way. If McKinnon will accept another one-year deal, then maybe Kansas City brings him back. One thing that could influence the decision would be Mahomes.

It's obvious that Mahomes and McKinnon are close. And Mahomes absolutely has some influence over what the Chiefs will do this offseason (for example, Kansas City just hired Matt Nagy to serve as the franchise's quarterbacks coach. Mahomes was a big fan of Nagy during his first run with the Chiefs).

McKinnon played sparingly last season, but he had a big game in the playoffs against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran running back rushed for 61 yards while also catching six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. We also already know he's a good fit in Andy Reid's offense (plus there would be no learning curve).

Edwards-Helaire is the only other running back the Chiefs have under contract entering the offseason, so the team definitely needs some depth there. I could see Mahomes using his influence to encourage the Chiefs to bring his buddy back in 2022.
