For the New Orleans Saints, health of their stars is on even more of pedestal this season. After how many injuries they dealt with last season, they desperately need better luck. Reports throughout training camp have been positive regarding wide receiver Michael Thomas. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been in and out of drills, but the injury has seemed minor. On Monday, the Saints were without both of them at practice.
Now, it isn't time to panic just yet. Head Coach Dennis Allen said that Thomas' hamstring injury is minor. They're just being cautious and want to monitor it as the seasons approaches. For Lattimore, he returned to practice late last week. That's a good sign. Today's absence may have just been a rest day or workload management due to the minor injury he has dealt with during training camp.
Only time will tell for the two stars for the Saints, though. New Orleans desperately needs them to be healthy when the season opens in a few weeks.
