The Buffalo Bills have been dealing with a ton of injuries through the early portion of training camp, but they received a big break on Sunday with the return of Pro Bowl guard Rodger Saffold.
The team announced the move before practice.
Saffold has been on the NFL's non-football injury list, or NFI list, since the start of training camp. The 12-year veteran was in a car wreck a few weeks ago and unfortunately, injured some ribs during the ordeal. He's now cleared to practice.
It's a huge boost for the Bills offensive line. Saffold was a Pro Bowler last year and has a second-team All-Pro nod under his belt, as well. Buffalo signed him to a one-year, $6.25 million deal back in March and he should man one of the starting guard positions.
He's expected to be a major factor in improving the Bills' running game in 2022.
