Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown recently shut down rumors that he was unhappy and wanted out of Philly.

While speaking to the media at the NFL Combine on Tuesday, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni took time to address those rumors and sang nothing but high praise for the star wideout.

"AJ, like, I've been telling you guys for a long time, not only is he one of the best players I've ever been around, he's also one of the best leaders and he's gonna do anything he can do to stick up for teammates," Sirianni said. "That's why I that's why he wears a 'C' on his chest.

"And I think that, if you're speculating, well, 'hey, what does it mean? If he's yelling [at him]. There's some people that when you're leading them, you yell, and there's some people when you're leading them, you put your arm around them. And there's some people somewhere in the middle. Leadership is just figuring out what buttons to press with different guys. You don't treat everybody the exact same."

One of the reasons why rumors spread about Brown's being unhappy was because of the multiple sideline "blowups" between him and Sirianni during the season.

But according to Sirianni, that's just how some players and coaches sometimes communicate.

"The standard is what it is," Sirianni continued. "And you hold everybody to that standard, but you don't treat everybody exactly the same of how you get to that standard, how you correct that standard, or how you praise that standard. Everybody's a little bit different. I think AJ understands that."

Just as long as Sirianni and Brown are on the same page, then they can yell at each other all they want.

Sirianni also stressed the importance of not only Brown's exceptional stats since coming to Philadelphia but also his exceptional leadership skills.

"Like I said, just a great teammate, great person," Sirianni said. In my opinion, he's the best receiver that's been in Philadelphia and I grew up a Terrell Owens fan. I was a huge Mike Quick fan. … But you look at the stats and you look at what AJ has done in a two-year span. He's had the two most productive years ever as a as an Eagle wide receiver. And so, man I like when you have one of your best players being also one of your best leaders. That's special."

The important takeaway here is that Brown isn't going anywhere.
