When asked about playing for the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, Dallas Turner didn't hesitate saying "it would definitely be fire" to play for the team right near where he's from.
Dallas Turner, EDGE Alabama went to St. Thomas Acquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Turner was asked specifically about south Florida football and St. Thomas Acquinas because as he shares in the post below, "there's nothing like [south Florida football]."
St. Thomas Acquinas High School has amazingly seen over 30 of their former players drafted to the NFL since 2006 making it one of the most prolific prospect factories in the nation. Dallas Turner will now certainly continue that legacy of draft day dominance as he is an absolute lock for first round capital.
The Miami Dolphins would likely need to trade up if they hope to procure Dallas Turner, but if the edge rushers start to slide it's certainly possible this Miami metro native could land with his hometown team.
Turner has the highest pass rush pressure rate among all early declare prospects (nearly 20% last fall), and is second in the class behind only Laiatu Latu of UCLA. The Dolphins could use some extra pass rush from this year's draft. It would be great if they could draft one from their own community.
