We unfortunately watched tragedy play out yesterday at the Super Bowl parade following the second straight Lombardi Trophy for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Cleveland Browns, like many teams around the NFL, have sent out a statement after the shooting took place in Kansas City. Immediately following the shooting, outpouring support flooded social media for the host city.

As far as the details of what happened initially in Kansas City, here they are:

“After the Super Bowl LVIII Rally and Parade for the Kansas City Chiefs concluded, the KC Police Department reported that shots were fired near the parade route and rally at Union Station in downtown Kansas City. The police department and other law enforcement officials rushed into Union Station shortly after this announcement. They released a pair of updates within a few minutes after the initial announcement.” – Charles Goldman, A to Z Sports.

On a day that the Chiefs were supposed to be celebrating the good that has happened for them, unfortunately, some bad took place during it.
