Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has singled out the Baltimore Ravens as the "best team" in the NFL this season.

Jones made an appearance on ESPN’s "NFL Primetime" program following Super Bowl 58, and he took some time to touch on the Chiefs’ roller-coaster 2023 campaign. He also went on to tip his hat to the Ravens.

"We had to go to Baltimore, who I still think was the best team in the league this year," Jones said.

The Chiefs and the Ravens had one classic back-and-forth duel in last month’s AFC title game. In the end, it was the Chiefs who had the last laugh via a 17-10 win.

Jones and the Chiefs went on to take care of business against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58. Not many defenses had much of an answer for the 49ers’ high-octane offense heading into Super Bowl 58, but the Chiefs ended up rising to the occasion in the contest. Kansas City’s defense allowed a mere two touchdown drives to the Brock Purdy-led 49ers offense, and the unit came away with a pair of takeaways.

As the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs will open up the 2024 regular season with a home matchup. It sure would not be a surprise to see the NFL pencil in the Ravens to travel to Kansas City for the opening game of the upcoming new season.
