A former Tennessee Vols players who left the program after the 2020 season was in an important position immediately after the Kansas City Chiefs' win against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday evening.

Former Vols offensive lineman Wanya Morris, a rookie for the Chiefs in 2023, was one of the two players who doused Kansas City head coach Andy Reid with Gatorade as the on-field celebration got underway.

Morris started his college career at Tennessee in 2019 before transferring to Oklahoma ahead of the 2021 season.

The Chiefs selected Morris in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The former Vol/Sooner played a key role for Kansas City late in the season as he started a couple of games at left tackle while starter Donovan Smith was sidelined with a neck injury.

Morris was one of three players on the Chiefs' roster on Sunday night who spent time at Tennessee. Starting offensive guard Trey Smith, of course, was the most notable name. Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend, a former Florida Gators standout, spent his freshman season at Tennessee in 2015 before leaving Knoxville for Gainesville.
