You never know what players are going to be asked during Super Bowl media week.

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones was in for a surprise while speaking to the media on Wednesday. He was approached by a man who wanted to show him a magic trick, and Jones obliged. Harold R. Kuntz of Fox 4 News Kansas City captured the interaction on video.

Jones was asked to write down the name of a person in the magician's phone who he wishes was coming to the game this weekend but can't. Jones put the phone face down, then used his finger as an imaginary pen to write the name on an imaginary piece of paper. He mimicked crumpling the fake piece of paper and threw it to the magician.

The magician then revealed a real piece of paper in his hand seemingly out of nowhere, much to the delight of Jones. The video cuts off a bit too early, making it unclear if the magician got the name right. Jones seemed very impressed, though, so perhaps he saw the name as he was unfolding it. One interesting fan theory speculated that the name was a former Chiefs DE Frank Clark.

This is all part of the fun of Super Bowl media week, which is flooded by credentialed media from across the world. The fun questions give players and coaches a break from the tough ones and keep things loose. Perhaps the magician gave Jones and the Chiefs a little extra magic as they look to capture their third Super Bowl championship in five years against the San Fransisco 49ers on Sunday.
