The Philadelphia Eagles mean business this week ahead of their Wild Card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Instead of holding a typical walkthrough to kick off the week, they will practice on Thursday.
Ahead of practice, quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver DeVonta Smith provided brief injury updates.
Hurts, who dislocated his finger last Sunday, told reporters "Everything is processing in the right way," and is expected to participate in Thursday's practice today in some capacity.
Today will be the first time Hurts has thrown since the Eagles' season finale, he also noted.
As for Smith, who is dealing with an ankle injury and missed Week 18's loss, assured reporters that he will play on Monday night.
While the Eagles are not in perfect health, it's good to know that they are trending in the right direction and the extra rest ahead of a Monday game should benefit them.
Editor's note: This post will be updated with the Eagles' official injury report from Thursday once it's released this afternoon.
