The Miami Dolphins got some much-needed good news as kickoff approaches against the Kansas City Chiefs inside frozen Arrowhead Stadium.

WR Jaylen Waddle and RB Raheem Mostert are both active and will play.

Waddle and Mostert were believed to be likely to play, so their absence from the inactive list isn't all that surprising.  Mostert missed the last two games against Baltimore and Buffalo with ankle and knee issues.  Waddle missed both games as well after suffering a high ankle sprain during Miami's 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve.

The news wasn't all great for the Dolphins, unfortunately.  Miami will be without two of their best defenders in the back half with CB Xavien Howard and S Jevon Holland both inactive.  Howard was already ruled out, but there was hope that Holland, who was listed as questionable, would be able to go.  Unfortunately he can't, but Miami will have the services of S DeShon Elliott, who was questionable with a calf injury.
