After a slight alteration to scheduling, we have made it to Bills vs. Steelers on the final day of Super Wild Card Weekend.

The lake-effect snow storm and ensuing weather will play a factor into what takes place on Monday afternoon. If the Bills want to advance and host the Kansas City Chiefs next week, here is what they'll need to do.

1. Stop the Steelers' Run Game

The Steelers have had one of the league's best ground attacks down the stretch into the playoffs. Najee Harris finished the regular season with consecutive 100 yard rushing performances, and Pittsburgh as a team has 357 rushing yards over their last two games. The balanced attack of Harris and Jaylen Warren may find some explosiveness against a Bills defense that ranks 24th in the NFL in EPA per rush. The Steelers are certainly going to look to exploit that- the Bills cannot let them get a consistent ground game going. If they make the Steelers one-dimensional, that'll likely put a bow on the game.

2. Let James Cook

The Bills will be able to run the ball on the Steelers. Pittsburgh allowed over 115 yards per game on the ground, and they won't have T.J. Watt to help set the edge and get into the backfield to disrupt the run game. If I'm Buffalo, I'm feeding James Cook and running right at Nick Herbig and Markus Golden- make the backups make plays to beat you.

3. Protect the Ball

This seems to be a weekly key for the Bills, and that is because when Josh Allen goes into John Wayne mode, sometimes he takes a bullet in the midst of the gunfight. The Steelers were tied for fifth in the NFL with 27 takeaways during the regular season. The Bills had 28 giveaways in the regular season, which was an ongoing issue at the peak of their struggles. Buffalo can't play with their food today. At least they shouldn't. Could they win even if Allen throws a pick or two? Yes. But why make things more complicated than they need to be. Go out, play smart, and send a message to the remaining playoff teams by dominating this game in all facets.
