The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens don't play each other often, so it would be hard to call this matchup a rivalry. However, after seeing the pregame warmups, it's pretty apparent the two sides aren't really into becoming friends at the moment.
Especially Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
Before the game, players usually do their pregame warmups outside of their football pads. In this instance, Patrick Mahomes, the QBs, and his pass catchers were throwing balls and running routes in their warmups. Justin Tucker, the Ravens kicker and probably the greatest kicker of all time, was wearing his football pads.
The Chiefs were on their side of the field on the goal line, and the kicker was stretching right in their way with footballs and his helmet in the way. He then started to try and get ready to kick field goals but from the goal line. If you watch football a lot, you know kickers do not kick the football from the actual goal line. It was pretty apparent that Tucker was trying to get under the Chiefs' skin.
Mahomes and Kelce stood on business, though. First, Kelce threw Tucker's footballs behind the end zone and then threw his helmet. Throw isn't the best word, but it was more of a toss. Then, Tucker set his stuff back up, and Mahomes kicked his ball holder. When Tucker put it back down, Mahomes threw it.
These two teams are going to clash later, and it's going to be primetime television. However, what we saw before the game was great, too.
