The Kansas City Chiefs just got some additional luck for their Super Bowl matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. And they probably don't even know it.

This will be Taylor Swift's 13th Chiefs game since the pop star started showing up and traveling to support Travis Kelce.

And as all Swifties know, 13 is a very lucky number for Swift. So this could be the additional good luck charm that the Chiefs need in Las Vegas.

But for those that don't know, here's why.

In 2009, the pop star did an interview with MTV and explained why this is her lucky number. And it's not only because her birther is December 13th.

"I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro," she said. "Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter," Swift told MTV. "Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it's a good thing."

While this interview happened so long ago, that number has remained her favorite throughout her entire career. And that's still the case now.

Along with it being her 13th show, there are a lot of other connections.

"Taylor Swift's"lucky number" is 13
Super Bowl 58 (5+8) = 13
SB on 2/11 (2+11) = 13

Swift is going to need some luck of her own, as the pop star is going to have a crazy 48 hours prior to the game.

She resumes her Eras Tour and will be performing in Tokyo, Japan on the night prior to the Super Bowl. However, with the time difference, she will be able to hop on the long flight and arrive in Las Vegas in time to catch Kelce and the Chiefs look to repeat as champions.

And according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Swift is expected to make that trip and be there to cheer on Kelce.

Let's see if this is enough luck to help the Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl champions.
