The offense is the biggest issue for the New England Patriots right now. So with that, numerous different prospects shined at the Senior Bowl this past week that deserve the team's attention.

Let's be real: the team needs a quarterback, star receivers, and some better offensive tackles. They could even use another running back depending on what happens with Ezekiel Elliott.

So with that, A to Z Sports had reporters covering the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama all week, providing in-depth scouting reports of the top performers.

Below we will break it down by position, detailing who the Patriots should be taking a closer look at.

Quarterback

Per A to Z Sports' own Destin Adams, many of the quarterback struggled this past week, but there was one that did stand out.

A few guys had some high moments, but all struggled throughout. I think Michael Penix Jr., out of Washington, looked the most talented and was the most consistent of the bunch.

Penix Jr. impressed many this past season, leading Washington to the National Championship, where they ultimately lost to Michigan.

He along with Oregon's Bo Nix were probably the most well-known quarterbacks going in, with both being named as Heisman Trophy finalists.

However, while Penix showed glimpses of promise, it seems Nix did not. And A to Z Sports' Jarrett Bailey broke down why that was.

It's bad when you can hear every media member in attendance just ripping the play of Nix this week, but the criticism was warranted. While the final day of practice saw him make two nice throws to Malachi Corley of Western Kentucky, Nix was awful on Tuesday and Wednesday, to be completely frank. His week was filled with miscommunications and underthrows that were becoming the talk of the week.

Most quarterbacks come down to raise their stock and show off their arms, but Nix lost money this week with his play

And one player who shocked many was been Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt.

This is probably a surprise to many reading this, and believe me, I am also surprised. Coming into the week, I had Tulane's Michael Pratt ranked fourth among Senior Bowl QBs. But so far he's been sharp through the first two days, and overall I feel that he has improved his draft stock. He hasn't jumped up in my personal QB rankings quite yet, but he is outperforming multiple ranked above him. His touch on passes in the short and medium range have been impressive. I wasn't all that excited to watch him coming into the week, but he has my attention heading into the third and final day of practice on Thursday. (per Destin Adams)

While there is still a lot of speculation that the Patriots could opt to go with Jayden Daniels with the 3rd overall pick, if they decide to snag WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Penix and Pratt could be players to look at.

Running Back

This one is simple.

The Patriots should be looking at a fellow New England player to help fill a potential void at this position.

Picking an RB was pretty easy for me; New Hampshire RB Dylan Laube impressed me throughout the week. The FCS RB showed how explosive he can be and cemented himself as one of the top dual-threat RBs in this class. (via Destin Adams)

Wide Receiver

Michigan receiver Roman Wilson was the clear favorite this past week, showing an ability to separate from the defenders. A to Z Sports' Travis May detailed what made him different from the rest.

Roman Wilson is gaining momentum at just the right time. He's coming off the best season of his young career where he scored 12 touchdowns, won a National Championship with Michigan, and now he's already dominating at the Senior Bowl.

It didn't matter who was covering him, Wilson was always open on the first day of Senior Bowl practice. He won vertically, underneath, against press, off-man, all over the field. If he keeps this up and runs a sub-4.4 forty-yard dash like many expect he may just sneak into Round Two of the NFL Draft.

Offensive Tackle

BYU's Kingsley Suamataia and Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga were two tackles who truly stood out this past week in Mobile and because of that earned a spot on the A to Z Sports' All 2024 Senior Bowl Roster

Suamataia: A player that I'm leaving Mobile significantly higher on than when I arrived is BYU's Kingsley Suamataia. His strength was on display all week, and he engages with defenders quickly off the snap. I thought he'd be slower but very rarely did I see him get beaten around the edge. This is a tackle I'm watching closely the rest of this draft cycle, I think he will make a team very happy come April.

Fuaga: I asked 3 different top defensive lineman this week who their toughest offensive lineman they faced during the week was, and each of them said Oregon State's Taliesa Fuaga. Fuaga excelled in pass protection during the week, and if you ask me he made alot of money, with multiple scouts I talked too sharing that they believe he will be drafted by the early 2nd at the very least.
