Unfortunately for the Cleveland Browns, it is time to get into offseason mode with their recent campaign ending.
Before we know it, it’ll be the new league year and free agency will be here across the NFL. Following that will be the NFL Draft, another opportunity for teams to improve.
Today, the Browns made a move to shake up the offensive coaching staff. A signal that they’re going to bring some fresh minds in.
With that, why not take a look at some playmakers the Browns could take to become a better offense? Expect the Browns to find another weapon or two for the offense this offseason in the draft.
Possible second round picks for Browns
WR Xavier Worthy (Texas)

I’m a fan of really productive receivers in college and Worthy was just that. As a freshman, Worth had 1,014 yards as a freshman and combined for over 1,700 the next two seasons. Though he has a slight frame, Wortht has game-breaking speed with the ball in his hands. A deep threat that can take the top off of the defense. Watch out for him to run sub 4.3 forty-yard dash.
RB Jonathon Brooks (Texas)

Brooks finally got his chance as a junior at Texas and he did not disappoint. The 6-foot, 207-pound running back popped off for over 1,100 yards. Brooks is a multi-dimensional back who could be very fun in the Browns’ offense. His receiving ability is really good and he has legit speed that can hurt the defense in space.
WR Troy Franklin (Oregon)

Franklin was elite in an explosive Oregon offense and poured out 14 touchdowns and nearly 1,400 yards. Another player in a fan of and would be great value in the second round with how good this receiver class is.
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler said much of the same:
“The Browns need to get more explosive at receiver. As a true junior in 2023, Franklin was one of only two FBS receivers with 1,300-plus receiving yards and 14-plus touchdowns (Nabers was the other). He also ranked top three with eight catches of 40-plus yards.”
