The Houston Texans are preparing for the Baltimore Ravens, the NFL's No. 1 seed in the AFC, as these two dynastic offenses are going to collide. Both quarterbacks had an amazing season, but this one is the biggest of them yet. You win this one, and you move on to the championship round, a place the Texans haven't been since, well, ever. They have never been to the AFC Championship. As for the Ravens, they have not been back since they won the Super Bowl in 2012.
These two teams met in Week 1, in a game that saw the Texans with a beat-up offensive line. Yet, with a rookie head coach, a rookie offensive play-caller in Bobby Slowik, and a rookie quarterback, they had a chance to win at the half. Unfortunately, the game slipped away. But, the Texans still held Lamar Jackson to somewhat of a bad game, which is not easy to do, as head coach DeMeco Ryans has said.
But this game will be much different than it was in Week 1. There will be some harsh weather conditions. These two teams will be either healthier or more injured than that game. And C.J. Stroud is no longer a rookie. He played his first season; this is a whole new season.
As for the game, both teams are pretty beat up to this moment. The Texans went two straight weeks with having a ton of players listed as questionable on their final injury report and then having nearly all of those guys play. This week will be similar. They only have Jerry Hughes listed as out, which is still a big blow. However, they have an injury advantage over the Ravens.
For Baltimore, they will be without Marlon Humphrey, who, by many, is considered a top cornerback in the league this season. The Ravens have several key names on their final injury report before the game on Saturday. Here are both injury reports in better detail:
