The Tennessee Titans have their new starting quarterback. It's officially the Will Levis era in Nashville.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel named rookie QB Will Levis the team's starter on Tuesday afternoon.

There's seemingly been some 'tough love' comments from Vrabel regarding Levis, but this choice was clear. Tannehill's struggles and Levis' upside and energy culminated into this becoming the obvious choice for Tennessee.

In Levis' first start in Week 8, he impressed against the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns in the team's 28-23 win. His Week 9 performance was not nearly as impressive on the stat sheet, but he still showed flashes.

Vrabel explained the decision during Tuesday's presser.

Tannehill is now the backup QB for the Titans. Malik Willis remains QB3 while all three options are healthy.

The Titans play at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
