If last week didn't show you that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a huge problem with rookie/backup quarterbacks, nothing will.
The trend that started when Todd Bowles first arrived in Tampa as a defensive coordinator was put on display for the entire NFL as CJ Stroud lit the defense on fire, and many Bucs fans wondered how the struggles with rookies could still happen after all this time.
That's where the bad news for this weekend comes in: the Bucs are about to face another rookie quarterback. Oh, the horror.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense and facing rookie quarterbacks; there may not be a scarier combination for Bucs fans in the sport.
This pattern isn't new, and it looks like it is going to continue when facing off against the Titans and Will Levis in Week 10.
Levis lit the NFL world on fire during his first start and was able to follow that up with an impressive performance in his second start.
The bad news for the Bucs is that the secondaries that Levis beat were far better than the one that Tampa has put on the field for the past month.
The Buccaneers have been beaten by every combination of quarterbacks this season from fringe-MVP candidates to rookie quarterbacks on some of the weakest teams in the league. The pairing between a rookie with a hot hand against this defense just looks ugly.
At this point, it is impossible to rule anything out, and history tells us that Will Levis will be the next quarterback this season to put together a career day against Tampa's wounded defense.
Bucs fans need to be ready for a rough day.
Buccaneers have no choice with Todd Bowles
The Buccaneers can’t let this go on.
