The Queen City is now on injury watch as Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase hopes to overcome soreness in his back to play in Week 10 against the Houston Texans, but he's not alone.
Fellow wideout Tee Higgins popped up on Wednesday's injury report with a hamstring injury, which reportedly occurred during practice.
Chase, who suffered his back injury Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills, did not participate during Wednesday's practice during the open media portion. Chase was seen making his way out to the field later on by AllBengals.com's James Rapien.
The timing is far from ideal as the Bengals just found their rhythm offensively during the last two weeks. Higgins and Chase have combined for 320 yards in their last two games. The jury is still out on both players suiting up for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
Chase was not the only Bengals player to not practice Wednesday. Defensive tackle Josh Tupou, who missed last week's game with a shoulder injury, was a non-participant along with edge defender Sam Hubbard, who's listed with an ankle injury.
Higgins was joined by cornerback Jalen Davis (ankle) and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) as players who were limited.
Rookie receiver/punt returner Charlie Jones, who practiced for the first time in weeks after being designated to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday, was a full participant along with cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt.
