The Minnesota Vikings have been ravaged by injuries in recent weeks. As a result, the team made three notable moves on Wednesday.
For starters, running back Cam Akers was placed on injured reserve after suffering a ruptured Achilles. Then, quarterback Tanner Morgan was added to the practice squad. Morgan was on the practice squad briefly last month but was brought back after the injuries to Kirk Cousins and Jaren Hall.
Most notably, the team updated the status of star receiver Justin Jefferson.
Justin Jefferson has been designated to return and is cleared to practice. It is important to note, this does not mean he's activated, it simply means the 21-day window for the team to either activate him or return him to IR for the rest of the season has been opened.
The return of Jefferson would obviously be a big boost to a suddenly hot Vikings team. It is likely that Jefferson will miss the Week 10 game against the Saints and then make his return for Sunday Night Football in Denver.
