Injury luck for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is not getting any better.
Per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Higgins is not expected to play in Sunday in Cincy's Week 10 matchup with the Houston Texans. Higgins is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of the Bengals' most recent practice on Thursday.
Higgins is coming off an impressive outing in Week 9, catching eight passes for 110 yards against the Buffalo Bills. His production over the last two weeks has been a huge boost to the Bengals' offense, and surely a boost towards his confidence as well.
Back in Week 4, Higgins suffered a rib fracture against the Tennessee Titans, forcing him to miss most of that contest and the following game against the Arizona Cardinals.
On top of that completely separate injury, Higgins was simply struggling on the field. He had just 14 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns through five games entering Week 8. He posted 13 receptions for 179 in the last two games alone.
Hamstring injuries are starting to become a theme for Cincinnati as well. Rookie running back Chase Brown suffered one two weeks ago and was subsequently placed on the Reserve/Injured list. If Higgins' injury is truly a week-to-week case, a trip to I.R. can't be dismissed outright.
It's simply terrible timing for Higgins and the Bengals, who play two games within the next seven days.
Bengals get some needed hope on the injury front
