The Las Vegas Raiders announced their inactives before the Sunday Night Football game against the New York Jets, and it was a bit of a surprise.
Their new big free agent signing, former Pro Bowl linebacker Jaylon Smith, was signed to the Raiders' active 53-man roster a few weeks ago. He was signed to fill in for Divine Deablo, Luke Masterson, and potentially Robert Spillane, as the Raiders linebacker corps all had injuries.
Putting Smith on the inactive list means Diablo and Masterson are playing against the Jets.
The other inactives include Kolton Miller, Byron Young, Nesta Jade Silvera, Jakob Johnson, Brian Hoyer, and Isaac Rochell.
Will McDonald is out for the Jets, as he is one of their best young pass rushers, which means Carl Lawson will play for them. The Jets inactives are as listed:
Izzy Abanikanda, Randall Cobb, Jason Brownlee, Billy Turner, Chazz Surratt, and Jarrick Bernard-Converse.
