The Minnesota Vikings have undergone a litany of injuries this season. The latest injury resulted in linebacker Jordan Hicks being admitted to the hospital.
With Hicks already ruled out for at least Week 11, the Vikes made a move to bring in a replacement. The replacement is someone who will be very familiar to Vikes' fans.
Barr was a first-round pick by the Vikings way back in the 2014 NFL Draft. Barr made four-straight Pro Bowls for the Vikes from 2015-2018. Through eight years in Minnesota, Barr racked up 495 tackles, 17.5 sacks, and 5 interceptions.
Barr signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent prior to the 2022 season. The linebacker played 14 games for the Cowboys last season, finishing with 58 tackles, one sack, and two fumble recoveries.
The veteran did not get picked up after the 2022 season. Barr was reportedly close to signing with the New Orleans Saints back in August, but the deal fell through.
Now, Barr returns to his old stomping grounds right when the team needs him. It's expected that Barr will rotate in with Troy Dye next to rookie UDFA Ivan Pace Jr.
