The Philadelphia Eagles have officially activated offensive lineman Cam Jurgens off of the injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.

Jurgens, who had been working his way back from a foot injury, will resume his starting duties at right guard after taking first-team reps in practice all week.

The 24-year-old lineman had been impatiently waiting to return for five long weeks.

“Pumped to go out there and practice and hit some people,” Jurgens said ahead of his first full day of practice on Thursday, via NBC Sports. “It’s fun.”

With Jurgens back in the lineup, we should see the Eagles' run game come alive again.

It's not that backup guard Sua Opeta didn't do a good job at replacing Jurgens over the last several weeks, it's just that Jurgens' run blocking grade of 64.3 (per Pro Football Focus) is much better than Opeta's 47.4.

Jurgens' return comes just in time as the Eagles are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

In addition to Jurgens, the Eagles also welcomed back veteran cornerback Bradley Roby from a three-week hiatus due to a shoulder injury and tight end Grant Calcaterra from concussion protocol.

Also, Jalen Hurts ditched his knee brace this week, which could mean more rushing yards from the dual-threat quarterback.

It's safe to say that the bye week really worked wonders on the banged-up Eagles.
