Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs was on the wrong side of a bad call in his team's loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football.
Early in the game, Dobbs fumbled after he took a hit from Broncos defensive back Kareem Jackson.
Denver recovered the fumble, but Jackson, according to NBC rules expert Terry McAulay, should've been flagged for leading with his helmet, which would've wiped out the turnover.
Dobbs was asked about the play after the game and the former Tennessee Vols standout chose to take a diplomatic approach with his response.
"I haven't had a chance to watch it," said Dobbs during his post-game press conference. "That's something I'll check out. I've got to take care of the football. Third-and-1, I'm trying to make a play, get the first down, keep us on the field, move the sticks. I'll let the coaches and everyone else figure that stuff out with officiating. But at the end of the day, I've got to take care of the football in that situation — especially to start the game."
The turnover led to three points for the Broncos. And those three points proved to be important as the Vikings went on to lose 21-20.
