Cleveland Browns’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers brought a predictable comment from their future Hall of Fame member.
Former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger didn’t seem to be all that impressed with the Browns’ 13-10 win over the Steelers in Week 11 that dropped them to 6-4 and third in the AFC North.
“I mean this is the Browns’ Super Bowl. That’s the Super Bowl for them,” Roethlisberger said in the final seconds of the Week 11 win on his podcast.
It isn’t all that surprising coming from Roethlisberger, a guy who notably took care of the Browns in his career. Roethlisberger held a 26-3-1 record over the Browns all-time. One of those losses came in the 2020 AFC Wild Card when the Browns stunned the Steelers in Roethlisberger’s second to final season.
Perhaps Roethlisberger hasn’t come to terms with the Browns being a good team in today’s day and age. During his playing time, the Browns were down just about every season.
Things have changed and the Browns have a contending roster that doesn’t have a starting-level quarterback for the rest of the season. Still, the Browns are a half-game back from the Ravens for second in the AFC North.
