Bills' Taylor Rapp had negative tests and could play on Sunday
Buffalo Bills safety Taylor Rapp is tended to by medical personnel after an injury in the second quarter against the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium.
The Buffalo Bills have had an injury bug plaguing their team throughout the NFL season. From Tre'Davious White to Matt Milano and DaQuan Jones, the defense has been ravaged by injury.
The last game was no different as a scary incident unfolded with Taylor Rapp who needed to be carted off the field by ambulance. An unfortunate trend that's continued this season with players needing to be taken off by ambulance.
As the Buffalo Bills gear up for a highly-anticipated contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, Sean McDermott opened up on an injury update that is awe-inspiring to say the least.
First, the bad news. Micah Hyde and Cam Lewis are both considered day to day while Dane Jackson and Taron Johnson remain in the concussion protocol, leaving their status in doubt for their upcoming contest.
However, the good news is that Taylor Rapp had all negative tests and checked out fine. What's even more remarkable is that with this update, Rapp has a chance to play on Sunday.
When a player gets taken off the field on a stretcher, we immediately think of the worst. It happened earlier with Damien Harris who hasn't seen the field since, leaving us to think that the same fate would be had for Rapp.
While we will eagerly away any and all updates on Jackson, Johnson, Lewis, and Hyde, it's an incredible update to hear that Rapp is not only fine, but he may in fact suit up in the contest for a depleted secondary.
Buffalo will need all the help they can get as the red-hot Eagles just won yet another game. Buffalo was able to bounce back against the Jets on offense, but have a much taller task ahead of them with the Eagles.
