The Miami Dolphins managed to hold off the pesky Las Vegas Raider 20-13 on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. In doing so, they managed to keep their game and a half lead on the Buffalo Bills for the lead in the AFC East.
However, they managed to draw a game closer to the top of the AFC after the Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night 21-17. That and the Baltimore Ravens' win over the Cincinnati Bengals pushed the Ravens to the top of the AFC at 8-3. The Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins all lead their divisions with matching 7-3 records.
Here's how the AFC standings look through 11 weeks:
1) Baltimore 8-3
2) Kansas City 7-3
3) Jacksonville 7-3
4) Miami 7-3
5) Cleveland 7-3
6) Houston 6-4
7) Pittsburgh 6-4
In the hunt: Buffalo 6-5, Indianapolis 5-5, Denver 5-5, Indianapolis 5-5, Las Vegas 5-6
Here's how the AFC East looks through 11 weeks:
1) Miami 7-3
2) Buffalo 6-5
3) NY Jets 4-6
4) New England 2-8
The Dolphins have games coming up against the Jets, the Commanders, the Titans, and the Jets again over the next month before a brutal finishing stretch of Dallas, Baltimore, and Buffalo to end the season.
Meanwhile, the Bills will play at Philadelphia on Sunday before entering their bye week. After, they will travel to Kansas City and host Dallas.
As such, the Dolphins have a chance coming up to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the division.
