The New Orleans Saints are dealing with some important injuries as they return to their bye week. On Tuesday, they made a major decision for their offense.

The Saints are placing wide receiver Michael Thomas on injured reserve.

The Saints' former Pro Bowl WR will certainly be missed. Thomas is the team's best over-the-middle wideout that New Orleans possesses.

The news places plenty more pressure on Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and the tight end room. Juwan Johnson needs to step up from a production standpoint.

Expect more Taysom Hill in the passing game, too. A.T. Perry is an exciting possibility for an uptick in usage as well.

Thomas will be forced to miss the next four game. Saints HC Dennis Allen did not expect the knee injury to end Thomas' season.
