The New Orleans Saints got back on track in Week 8 with a 38-27 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

The offense looked explosive. The defense made second half adjustments. Overall, New Orleans gave fans new hope that they can be a noteworthy NFC team once again. Plus, they did it with many players dealing with a rough 'bug' going around this past week.

A handful of players were listed on the injury report with an illness before the game versus the Colts. IVs were set up throughout the locker room after the win. It's clear that the bug has taken a toll on the players.

HC Dennis Allen has also been under the weather in recent days.

Wide receiver Michael Thomas was a late add on Saturday due to the illness, too, but he played and performed on Sunday. His first half performance was very important for the offense to stay on track.

Alvin Kamara gave a unique descriptions of the sickness that the team has been dealing with. He also said that he has not had it yet.

Hopefully, this week will allow the Saints some time to push through the illness – as a team. They need to get as healthy as possible before an important game against the Chicago Bears in Week 9. It is yet another winnable game on the schedule.

The Saints now sit tied atop the NFC South at 4-4 with the Atlanta Falcons.
