The Philadelphia Eagles traded away veteran defensive lineman Kentavius Street and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.

In return, the Eagles received a 2024 sixth-round pick.

It was a smart move by general manager Howie Roseman considering how deep the Birds run at their defensive line depth.

It also means that rookie defensive tackle Moro Ojomo could finally see some more action, according to NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro.

Ojomo has been inactive for most of the season, however, that could change starting this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.

With Street's departure and Jalen Carter dealing with an injury, there's no reason that Ojomo shouldn't be active and get more than the four snaps he saw in his NFL debut in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Carter, the Eagles' other rookie defensive tackle, left Week 8's win over the Washington Commanders early with a back injury.

Head coach Nick Sirianni isn't ruling him out for their Week 9 matchup, though they'll be able to see where he's at when they practice on Wednesday.

"Jalen (Carter) feels better today. Again, we want to get out on the field to see where he is. But he feels better today. That’s a tribute to him getting in here and getting treatment and also our trainers."

The Eagles drafted Ojomo out of the University of Texas in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The 6-2, 292-pound defensive tackle logged 32 total tackles with 5.5 tackles for loss and three sacks in his final season with the Longhorns.

It hasn't been easy for Ojomo to make his way up the depth chart that features such a talented defensive line room and a concussion at the beginning of the preseason certainly didn't help his chances.

But now he should get a better shot to prove himself.
