Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his Week 8 performance against the San Francisco 49ers.
It's the sixth time Burrow has earned the accolade in his career, and the first since Week 16 of last season.
Burrow went off in Santa Clara, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for over 43 yards. He completed 28 of 32 passes for a career high 87.5% completion rate. He also set a personal best when he completed 19 straight passes during the first half.
It took about a month of football, but Burrow finally looks to be back to his normal self. Burrow leads the NFL in passer rating (111.8) and completion rate (77.9%) for qualified quarterbacks since Week 5.
At this rate, Burrow will be collecting more NFL weekly awards before the season concludes.
