The Pittsburgh Steelers made a surprising move earlier today on offense.

Well, as first reported by Zachary Smith of Steelers Now, Pittsburgh is changing things again, this time on the players' side:

Why Now?

Chuks Oforafor has held down the fort at RT since 2020, even earning a contract extension with Pittsburgh to be a bookend for the team.

And when Broderick Jones was drafted, there was still little to no concern about Chuks' starting status, since Jones was drafted to replace Dan Moore Jr. at LT.

But Moore has held his own since Jones arrived, with Broderick Jones only playing when Dan Moore couldn't go.

The same thing cannot be said for Chuks however, since dating as far back as OTA's, the team tinkered with the combination of Moore at LT and Jones at RT.

Now that was often just practice reps, or when Chuks was limited from injury. But unless he just developed a late injury that didn't make it onto the report, the Steelers have made a pure one-for-one swap.

We'll see if the rookie is up for the task.
