The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are inching closer to kicking off against a very scary Eagles team on Monday Night Football.

Baker Mayfield has been an extremely fun new addition to this Buccaneer team.

Not only has his added mobility been a breath of fresh air over what the Bucs have put on the field for the past few years, but he has been able to play an extremely complementary brand of football to what the Bucs want to do on defense.

There is an argument out there that this is exactly the type of quarterback play that Todd Bowles always wanted.

Flash has been replaced for grit and a bit of attitude. Deep pass after deep pass have been replaced in a scheme that gets the quarterback out of the pocket on play action passes. Mayfield has answered the call in every way.

The Eagles are going to be tough in every element of their defensive game plan, but Mayfield has the skillset to make this a tough night for even that unit if Dave Canales calls it all right.

Play action, motion, and a plan that keeps the ball in the air and away from that front seven is key. Mayfield has the talent to manage that plan well-it's just on the coaching staff to recognize that before it gets ugly.

The Buccaneers want to win? Throw the ball, throw it early, and take advantage of the weapons that Baker Mayfield hasn't played with for most of his career.
