The Cincinnati Bengals will have extra help tonight in their Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Quarterback Reid Sinnett and tight end Tanner Hudson have each been elevated from the practice squad.
Starting with Sinnett, one of two quarterbacks on the practice squad, his elevation gives the team options depending on whether or not Joe Burrow is active. Sinnett can either be active and take up one of the team's active roster spots, or be listed as inactive. Had Sinnett been signed to the 53-man roster beforehand, he could dress and not be active as the emergency third quarterback.
If Burrow ends up not playing due to his calf injury, Sinnett would become the team's backup quarterback behind Jake Browning.
Hudson will likely be playing in his first regular season game since Week 12 of last season with the New York Giants. Starter Irv Smith Jr. is listed as doubtful on the injury report and is not likely to play.
Both players will revert back to the practice squad on Tuesday.
