The New Orleans Saints did not lose on one singular play in Week 3.

Their embarrassing loss was a culmination of the offense stalling, the defense making mistakes in the fourth quarter, and a missed kick from rookie Blake Grupe at the end of the game.

That being said, Grupe had the perfect response when asked about the missed kick and the frustrations of it. He didn't push blame elsewhere. Instead, the young player took responsibility and knows he must be better.

Grupe mentioned that the snap and hold were perfect. There was no one else a fault expect for him, according to the Saints boot.

“Couldn’t have asked for a better one. … I’ve got to be better." — Grupe

Everyone must keep in mind that he is a rookie kicker. There was always going to be one of these moments where he comes up short. Unfortunately, this time it was one to put a bow on a game that the Saints should have wrapped up long before Grupe was put into that situation.

Grupe has impressed the staff and was nails during the preseason. Expect him to bounce back.
