This week was very special for a few different reasons. Our guy Travis Kelce got to show off in front of his new girl, Taylor Swift, whoever that is, and of course, the Chiefs' offense got back to doing what it does best – scoring a bunch of points.
This was the first time the Chiefs scored at least 40 points since Week 7 of last season against the San Francisco 49ers, where they beat the NFC West champions by 20+ points.
The other thing, though, is that the Chiefs and Bears did massive numbers in viewership. They, in fact, had the best numbers of the entire week.
According to Front Office Sports on Twitter, Chiefs-Bears was the most-watched NFL game on any network this week — averaging 24.3 million viewers on FOX.
Of course, this is the Kelce effect, right? No, in all seriousness, the Taylor Swift mania has been crazy. The merchandise sales are crazy. It's all anyone hears about now, but it's making people root for the Chiefs. It's turning people into Chiefs fans, so I can't really complain.
