The Buffalo Bills' loss to the New York Jets is still stinging in the hearts of the Bills Mafia, as it rightfully should. The ugly loss was one of Josh Allen's worst performances as a professional and we are desperately looking forward to next week.
With the loss, the Bills suffered a slew of concerning injuries. Specifically, Micah Hyde and Mitch Morse. Before overtime began, Hyde could be seen running to the locker room with a trainer and Morse needed to get X-rays on his hand postgame.
For Hyde, this was his first regular season game since suffering a reported neck injury against the Tennesse Titans in the team's home opener last season. To add to his injury, Hyde suffered an injury in practice and his status was in doubt, initially, for the contest against the Jets.
Fast forward to today and we've heard nothing about his injury. There are no comments from the Bills organization or any reporters on his status for next week or for the future. For a player who missed substantial time and is a cornerstone for the defense, it makes us incredibly worried.
Sometimes no news is good news, but with Hyde's history, it's a worrying sign that we haven't heard a peep from anyone after he suffered his injury. If Hyde were to miss substantial time, we might start hovering over the panic button.
Here's hoping it's nothing serious and Hyde can be back on the field sooner rather than later, for right now the uncertainty is killing us.
